Baked Curry Pan (Kare Pan)

A healthier, oven-baked version of the classic Japanese snack featuring savory curry filling inside a soft bread roll with a crunchy panko topping.
Ingredients
- 250 g Bread flour
- 5 g Instant yeast
- 20 g Sugar
- 4 g Salt
- 160 ml Warm milk
- 20 g Unsalted butter
- 200 g Japanese curry filling
- 50 g Panko breadcrumbs
Steps
- Combine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and warm milk. Knead until a dough forms.
- Add butter and knead until smooth.
- Let rise until doubled.
- Divide dough, fill with curry, and seal.
- Coat with panko and bake at 200°C for 15 minutes.
