Classic Beef Meatballs

By bentofy

Dinner · Easy · 30 min · 9 ingredients

Juicy and flavorful Italian-style beef meatballs that are perfect for serving with spaghetti, in a sub, or as a standalone appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp milk

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and milk.
  3. Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to ensure the meatballs stay tender.
  4. Scoop about 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a ball roughly 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are browned on the outside and cooked through to an internal temperature of 160°F.
