Juicy and flavorful Italian-style beef meatballs that are perfect for serving with spaghetti, in a sub, or as a standalone appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp milk
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and milk.
- Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to ensure the meatballs stay tender.
- Scoop about 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a ball roughly 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are browned on the outside and cooked through to an internal temperature of 160°F.
