Cajun and Sumac Skyr Chicken Marinade

A tangy, herb-filled marinade using Skyr and a blend of bold spices to keep chicken breast tender and flavorful.
Ingredients
- 350 g chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon Skyr yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon high quality mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 0.5 teaspoon paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon Sumac
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
Steps
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the Skyr yoghurt, mustard, lemon juice, honey, and minced fresh garlic.
- Add the Cajun seasoning, paprika, sumac, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley to the bowl and stir until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or a resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring every surface is thoroughly coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, though 2-4 hours is ideal for the best flavor penetration.
- Cook chicken at 200C in the air fryer for 10 minutes flipping halfway through. Airfryer should be preheated for a few min.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing to keep it juicy.
