Classic Chinese Black Vinegar Dipping Sauce

A savory, tangy, and slightly spicy dipping sauce perfect for dumplings, potstickers, or cold noodles, featuring Chinkiang black vinegar.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Chinkiang black vinegar
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Chili oil with flakes
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp Ginger, finely grated
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Toasted sesame oil
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine the Chinkiang black vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, chili oil, and toasted sesame oil.
- Let the sauce sit at room temperature for about 5 to 10 minutes before serving to allow the garlic and ginger flavors to infuse into the vinegar mixture.
