By James Rotanson

Seafood · Dinner · Medium · 15 min · 11 ingredients

Tender, pan-seared salmon fillets smothered in a rich, velvety lemon garlic cream sauce with fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth
  • 0.75 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Steps

  1. Season the salmon fillets generously with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through, then transfer to a plate and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring to a gentle simmer and let the liquid reduce and thickenslightly, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Return the salmon to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the fillets, and simmer for 1 to 2 minutes until heated through. Garnish with fresh parsley.
