By James Rotanson
Chinese · Dinner · Medium · 40 min · 9 ingredients

Juicy pork and vegetable filling wrapped in delicate skins and steamed over a bed of cabbage for extra flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup napa cabbage, finely shredded
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 24 dumpling wrappers
- 4-6 large cabbage leaves for steaming
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine ground pork, shredded cabbage, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and green onions. Mix well until the filling is tacky.
- Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper.
- Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half, and pleat the edges to seal tightly.
- Line a steamer basket with the large cabbage leaves to prevent the dumplings from sticking.
- Place the dumplings on the cabbage leaves, ensuring they do not touch each other.
- Steam over boiling water for 8-10 minutes until the pork is cooked through and the wrappers are translucent.
- Serve hot with a side of soy sauce or chili oil for dipping.
