Japanese · Dinner · Easy · 20 min · 11 ingredients

Succulent salmon fillets glazed with a rich, homemade sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, ready in under 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 pieces Salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 tsp Fresh ginger, grated
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- 1 stalk Green onions, sliced
Steps
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch until well combined.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season very lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin-side up, and sear for 4 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- Carefully flip the salmon fillets and pour the prepared teriyaki sauce into the skillet.
- Cook for another 3-4 minutes while continuously spooning the sauce over the salmon as it bubbles and thickens into a glaze.
- Remove from heat once the salmon is cooked to your preference and the sauce has a syrupy consistency. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
