Garlic Butter Sautéed Mushrooms

Tender mushrooms sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a hint of fresh herbs.
Ingredients
- 1 lb cremini or white button mushrooms
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme or parsley
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
Steps
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and slice them if they are large.
- Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the mushrooms to the skillet in a single layer and cook without stirring for 3-4 minutes until browned on one side.
- Stir the mushrooms and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they release their moisture and brown further.
- Reduce heat to medium, then add the remaining butter and minced garlic.
- Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs, then serve immediately.
