Pearl Couscous with Onion and Garlic

A simple and fluffy pearl couscous base sautéed with aromatics for extra flavor.

Ingredients

  • 150 g pearl couscous
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 150 ml water
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

Steps

  1. Finely dice the onion and mince the garlic cloves.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the onion and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the pearl couscous to the pan and fry together with the aromatics until the pearls become slightly translucent.
  4. Add the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, turn the heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer for 10-12 minutes.
  6. Turn off the heat, remove the lid, and fluff the couscous by mixing it around.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
