Classic Moist Banana Bread

A simple and foolproof recipe for tender, flavorful banana bread that is perfect for using up overripe bananas.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inchloaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth and stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir in.
  5. Add the flour and mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50 to 60minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
